48 cyclists + 5 ferries = 51 miles of fun!

On Saturday 9th June 48 cyclists took part in our second Five Ferries Challenge sponsored by Cardowan Creameries Ltd. Getting up extra early to catch the first ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick was not the only challenge facing these eager fundraisers, they also had to cycle 51 miles over four legs joined together by five ferry trips!

We were delighted to have so many 'on board' for the challenge and even the sun decided to join us at the viewing point at the top of Tighnabruiach and on the last leg to Rothesay.
Everyone enjoyed a well-earned lunch in Tarbet kindly provided by Lite Bites before battling tough hills to get to the finish line at Wemyss Bay, where they celebrated with fish and chips at the Esplanade Hotel.
Well done to all of our cyclists for completing this mammoth challenge and all the different organisations that helped make it possible. All the hard work has paid off raising an overwhelming £25,000 to date for the Hospice.
